As he was cleaning and suturing the wound, he enquired about its origin, and on learning it was from preparing a highly nutritious stew (we pureed the result, froze it in small containers, and the boys loved it, plus it had about 10 different vegetables in it), he made the dead-pan comment that it seemed a rather dangerous culinary endeavor, and he didn’t know why people didn’t stick to healthy food, like McDonalds.
