great question but do not wear tartan only older american tourists wear it you can always spot American tourists cause there the ones wearing tartan just about anything else is fine we are a real liberal country people can wear what they want and Scottish people have no problem if you walk down the road naked they might say something but apart from that if your coming you “WILL” get a warm welcome I promise
