Be it in the shampoo aisle or at Best Buy, they would come up to me, ask me my name, strike up a conversation, before getting into my hair color. “Oooh, I love your hair color! It’s so beautiful! How lucky you are to be a natural *insert color*!”. Never once did they touch my hair without my invitation or attempt to swatch it to boxes. It would always happen when my hair was dyed so I happily gave them the box brand and color number and where it could be found at a local Sally’s Beauty Supply.
