Nearly all the guests turned up in regular business gear — jacket and tie or dress. Some guests (especially the young ones) turned up exactly as described — a pair of nice denims and tops. A few turned up in school uniform. No big deal for us. We made it clear that there was no dress code. People should dress according to the occasion, and for weddings, that means at least something a bit more seemly and formal than denims — unless it’s clear enough that the couple has no dress code for guests.
