Even the staff members grew up there. As an outsider, it was like high school all over again. Mostly, I didn’t mind because I’d never gone to camp like that, and I enjoyed doing fun activities with the kids. It was a relief from the city and so beautiful! My boss was a bit sketchy, and the pay was low, but the staff members were pretty chill and the work wasn’t hard. I was grateful to get back to the country again!
