If I decide to abuse hard drugs, smoke and drive recklessly then I feel that I should be the one who has to foot the bill when those poor choices inevitably catch up to me. As it stands, we have a health and safety culture because we chose to make people’s lifestyle choices OUR business when we agreed to go with a single-payer healthcare model.
