They falsely reported facts, they made up so-called proof and tried him in the public arena before he ever had a chance to begin to defend himself. What wasn’t reported over and over was the fact that anyone who really knew Michael Jackson said the exact same statements time and again: if you knew him you would understand that it would have been impossible for him to harm a child in any way. Another way to look at the issue is from an artistic point of view. Children, as he so clearly stated, were his muse. He believed heart and soul that they inspired him to write so many of his songs. An artist would never destroy his muse. And by harming a child, any child, that destruction was 100 percent guaranteed. This view takes all the emotions out of the debate and that’s why I thought it would be useful to emphasize.
