This act of cowardice resulted in a confrontation several days later with a manager who completely sided with the customer and threw me under the bus bringing up similar incidents from the past as well and pretty much threatening my employment. I was already fed up with the place after suffering numerous minor injuries and getting stuck on defective equipment so I basically told him “after tonight I’m finished” at the end of the day I returned everything to him, and said my goodbyes to the people who mattered most to me. That customer in a way cost the store millions of dollars because of their pettiness and deciding to be vindictive and the manager was simply a fool. He was said to be kicking himself afterwards but that’s the price you pay when you piss off sales associates who are making you big fat bonuses.
