Bear in mind that this was more than 30 years ago and I have no idea if they are still pulling this. I have not been back. Here is what they did. My transmission was “skipping” as it shifted. When I got there, after thinking about it on the drive over, I told the guy that the transmission probably just needed fluid. He put some fluid in and then offered to take me on a test drive. I tried to decline, but he told me “no charge, no obligation” so we went. During the drive, I no longer felt my transmission skipping (after adding the fluid), but he told me it WAS skipping; he could feel it.
