Civil servants are generally expected to be conservative in their dress. Shirt and trouser for women is a formal dress in the corporate and legal world but not in the civil service. In the office one meets a lot of persons of various classes. While none will mind it if you wear it occasionally, too frequent use may invite comments. While there is considerable freedom in the matter of dress, as in many other things, you should be mindful of what your boss thinks and what people around you think. On the whole I will not recommended it for daily wear.
