Dad’s expenses increased but as uncle was a bright student, dad supported him blindly. One day, this uncle came to dad’s hostel and told him that he didn’t have shoes. Dad immediately removed his only pair of shoes and gave him. He took it and left without a word. Dad continued in bare feet for the day until his friends found this out and contributed money to buy him a pair of shoes. When they both married, both were in a struggling stage. Mom was teaching in a school for a meagre amount and dad was making both ends meet with his writing and working as an Assistant in Doordarshan.
