When he was 4 or 5 and would read the house numbers when we stopped the car, he would get all the numbers correct just never in the right order. I’d taken him to the pediatrician but nothing was found to be wrong. Other than the out of order numbers, he did well socially but was a little behind in starting to read. He was so young that I just thought my expectations were too high and I needed to let him learn at his own pace.
